Overview
The Lube Technician is responsible for assisting mechanics with inspections and repairs on vehicles and heavy equipment machinery both in the shop and in the field.
Responsibilities
Lube technicians check and replenish fluid levels in a vehicle's cabin, air, and oil systems.
Determine necessary parts, materials, and tooling needed to perform the PM’s assignments.
The Lube Tech must also be a good communicator to explain mechanical and technical issues; to receive advice and guidance on the proper repairs.
Follow all company policies, processes, and procedures.
Exercise safe work practices in observance of the company’s safety goals and protocols.
Manage time effectively to maximize productivity and minimize machine downtime.
Other duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Prior experience working in the diesel or heavy equipment industry as a technician in some regard.
Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to work well independently or with others in a team environment.
Must be reliable, honest, and have a strong work ethic.
Must be able to follow instructions; read and understand operators and repair manuals.
Ability to read, analyze, and communicate technical information.
Ability to write work order notes and details that effectively communicate the work that was completed
Must always have a positive customer service attitude.
Must be organized and maintain equipment and tools. Assist with shop organization when needed.
Must be self-motivated.
Must be insurable, have a clean/valid Class C license.
